Design Thinking at Sidebench
SHIP members took part in an interactive patient experience design session at Sidebench in Culver City.
Teams of four to five members learned about the experience of a particular patient and her struggle to get to the dentist for a tooth extraction. The teams then learned about Design thinking tools to help them find a practice solution to the patient problem.
The teams were guided through the process by a skilled facilitator from Sidebench.
The teams first started by observing a skilled experience designer interview the mock patient. From that initial interview the teams used several design thinking tools to come up with an initial problem they wanted to address and possible solutions.
